Tequila Mojito
Seriously, I love tequila and I must say that I found a wonderful bridge of vodka, rum, or many times. White / silver version, or "blanco" or "Plata", as they are commonly referred to as a wonderful taste the tequila is not much of a smoky bite that may have been combined with the old versions. I do not even like to drink their rights, little more than a few stones with lime wedges and a cold drink and refreshing. Confused with one of the new water "boutique" tonic, silver tequila to create a version of ice vodka and tonic that different and perhaps a little 'more interesting than its predecessor!
Many of you are familiar with the mojito, the classic blend of mint, rum and sugar that was supposed to be one of Ernest Hemingway's favorite summer drink! Here's one I made with Patron Tequila, and replaced the light agave syrup sugar syrup more traditional. I like agave nectar as a sweetener in mixed drinks because I prefer the taste of simple sugar syrup and has the advantage of already being in liquid form. In addition, agave nectar is a sweetener with a low glycemic load at softening its blow cocktail without packing one / two as the added sugar alcohol. This translates into more fun and less of a hangover in the crash of the morning! You can find agave nectar in most supermarkets, but look first at Whole Foods for the best selection of natural and organic. Do not accept imitations for biological and you can really taste the difference!
To make a tequila mojito you need:
A glass
About a dozen more leaves of fresh mint (I love a lot of mint, to use as you wish!)
A great full jigger of Patron Silver Tequila (you can use any of this Blanco tequila, Patron Silver, but I love the best!)
Two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
The agave nectar to taste
